This dissertation aims to analyze the teaching of History in elementary schools of Pará State, Brazil, in the first decades of the twentieth century, considering the representations produced by authors from Pará and conveyed in Apostilas de História do Pará (1915) by Theodoro Braga, and Noções de História Pátria (1920) by Sílvio Nascimento and Raymundo Proença textbooks, and used in educational institutions of this State. Using documentary and bibliographical research, the regionalization of history teaching in the first decades of the twentieth century was explored, analyzing how the textbooks presented the national history and regional historical processes.
